World Environment Day 2010 was celebrated all around the world with slogan-"Biodiversity-Ecosystem Management and the Green Economy". Environment Camps for Conservation Awareness (ECCA Nepal) with Namuna Machhindra Nature Club of Namuna Machhindra Secondary School successfully organized Inter Nature Club Sketch Competition and Drama Presentation at the central zoo on the day. 90 students from 35 nature clubs were participated in the competition and drew sketch on the theme 'My favorite creature in ecosystem'. More than 200 students, counselors and volunteers were gathered in the Central Zoo to mark the Environment day 2010. Students of Lalit Kalyan Nature Club and Aadarsha Nature Club preformed drama on the environment.

In the sketch competition, Ashish Gautam of Yashodhara Nature Club, Bikash Kalikote of Yashodhara Nature Club, Sophiya Maharjan of Guita Macha Pucha and Bijaya Lama of Prabhat Eco Club won the first, second, third and fourth prize respectively. The prize distribution program was held on the same day at the ECCA Nepal's hall.

Scholarship Distribution

ECCA has been distributing scholarship for the student of different part of the Nepal since beginning. This year also, 100 students were distributed the scholarship on the day of World environment Day 2010. Ten students each from ten different schools of Kathmandu valley were distributed scholarship.
