Women groups of Multipurpose Society of Gothatar, Kathmandu conducted
a water use survey in the communities of Gothatar. They also collected
water samples from three different location and send in private
lab for analysis and the result was high E. Coli contamination
in drinking water. Hence water chlorination was an urgent need
to stop the water borne disease. Therefore training was conducted
on 22nd April 2010 on use of WATA device to produce chlorine solution
locally in Gothatar. After training the device and 100 pieces
of WATASol bottles were handed over to Ms. Bina Thapa of Gothatar
- 7 by the president of Multipurpose Society Ms. Pramita Khanal.
