I am Kalpana Timalsina , student of class 9, Shree Vidyadhiswori Ma. Vi., Ashrang. I am involved in almost all the activities conducted by nature club. After being involved in nature club activities, I have made toilet, waste pit and the charcoal stove (Gol Chulo) in my house. These things help to change not only my behavior but also of my family members. My family members are cleaner than before and have become more conscious on health and sanitation. The charcoal stove installed in my house has changed a lot in our community. Now, each house has the charcoal stove which helps to decrease deforestation. As the charcoal stove is smoke free, I am utilizing the cooking time in my studies. This has helped to improve my study and all these happened because of the ECCA project in our area.

Mr. Sunil Lama, ex-nature club member, Sankhu said that he was very much impressed from ECCA training. He adds “before joining ECCA program, I threw wastes every where; I even used the road as a toilet. After participating in ECCA camp, my behavior has changed. My family has money to build toilet but not the knowledge. So, after the training, I started to share the knowledge gained in the camp with my family. They were very happy and impressed and agreed to build a toilet and improved cooking stove in my house. My neighbors have also shown interest on the changes in my house and have started to build toilet and ICS in their house too. "ECCA is my source of encouragement and I am proud of it."
